To create the JEE Main Login credentials, candidates need to follow the steps below:-
- Visit the official website of NTA, i.e., https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
- Click on the “Apply for Online Registration”.
- Read all the instructions carefully, mark the checkbox and then click on “Click here to Proceed”.
- Register for the online application form and note down the system-generated application number.
- Create a password for future reference. The password must be
- 8 to 13 characters long
- Have at least one uppercase & one lowercase letter
- One numeric value
- One special character
- Choose a security question and provide its answer.
That’s how your application number and password will be generated. Make sure to keep it written somewhere for future use.

To retrieve JEE Main application number, follow the steps:-
- Click on Forgot Application number?
- Enter details such as Candidate Name, Father Name, Mother Name, DOB, and CAPTCHA and then click on Get Application Number.
Forgot JEE Main Password?
The candidates can reset the JEE Main Password through three available options:-
Select one of the options and click on “Continue”
- Option 1: Security Question
Enter the application number, security question and answer to retrieve the password.
- Option 2 or 3: OTP & EMail Reset
