NTA releases the JEE Main 2027 Exam Pattern in the information brochure. The exam is conducted in 2 sessions. Paper 1 totals 75 compulsory questions (300 marks). Paper 2A has 77 questions (400 marks) while Paper 2B features 100 questions (400 marks).
All three papers (1, 2A, 2B) have 5 compulsory numerical questions in Section B. Each paper has the same marking scheme.

JEE Main 2027 Exam Pattern features three papers across two sessions (January/April).
- Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) has 75 compulsory questions (60 MCQs + 15 numericals) worth 300 marks. The exam duration is 3 hours with three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths (25 questions each, +4/-1 marking).
- Paper 2A (B.Arch) totals 400 marks: Maths (100), Aptitude (200), Drawing (100).
- Paper 2B (B.Planning): Maths (100), Aptitude (200), Planning (100). All numericals mandatory, CBT except Drawing.
