Step 1: JEE Main Registration
- Register for the online application form using https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ website only.
- Note down the application number generated by the system.
- Fill out all the required details such as personal details, address, and contact details.
- Set up your password and select a security question along with its correct answer. The password must have
- 8 to 13 character long
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- One special character (!@#$%^&*-)
- One numeric value
Step 2: JEE Main Application Form
- Login using the system-generated application number and password.
- Fill out the complete application form, such as

- Disability details: Select PwD/PwBD if applicable; enter UDID number or disability certificate details (percentage, type, issuing authority).
- Identity details: Aadhaar e-KYC (OTP verifies name/DOB); non-Aadhaar needs scanned ID upload.
- Register APAAR ID: Register if available
- Exam and centre details: Choose papers (Paper 1 B.E./B.Tech, 2A B.Arch, 2B B.Planning), session, medium (English/Hindi etc.), 4 city preferences by state priority.
- Qualification details: Class 10/12 board, year, roll number, marks/percentage, school name/address (rural/urban, govt/private).
- Additional details: Twin applicant status and place of birth.
- Emergency contact details: Parents’/ Guardians’ contact numbers.
- Capture live photograph: Webcam capture (80% face, light background) or mobile QR scan.
- Upload documents: Photo, signature, Class 10 PDF; PwD certificate if claimed.
- Final Submit: Verify all fields; edit via left navigation; declare accuracy and submit.
Step 3: Fee Payment
- Proceed to the fee payment page after final submission of the application form.
- Pay the applicable exam fee online through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI. Bank charges and GST are also payable by candidates.
- Download the confirmation page. If the confirmation page is not generated, the transaction may have failed, and the candidate may need to retry payment.
- Download and save the confirmation page and transaction details as proof.
