Admission criteria to B. Tech. Programmes at Indian Institutes of technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), central technical institutions like IT-BHU, IISc, etc., Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12 and/or equivalent exam and in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the IIT Council. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE Main will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced) that the student has to take if she/he is aspiring for admission to the these undergraduate programmes. The State Funded Institutions funded by the Governments of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE Main. Thus, the candidates seeking admission to institutions in these states, must also advised to fill in the JEE Main - 2014 application form online.
Pattern of Exam...
Exam Pattern. The JEE MAINS Exam has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates can opt for either or both of them. Paper-1 is for admission in B. Tech, B.E, B.Com, B. Sc. (online and offline) Paper-2 is for admission in B. Arch and B. Planning (offline only) and both papers contain objective type questions.
